The MAZDA VISION X-COUPE presented at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 is a sports coupe with advanced technologies aimed at highlighting the emotional driving experience combined with environmental responsibility. Featuring a unique Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) system with a revolutionary two-rotor internal combustion engine generating 510 horsepower, the car has an electric range of approximately 160 kilometers and an impressive total range of 800 kilometers. The model also showcases Mazda’s efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of transportation through the use of eco-friendly fuel derived from microalgae and Mobile Carbon Capture technology to reduce carbon dioxide emissions during operation.
The second concept car, MAZDA VISION X-COMPACT, reflects the company’s focus on driver and passenger comfort. Equipped with advanced artificial intelligence, the car facilitates friendly interaction between humans and machines. The AI system engages in natural dialogue with occupants, helping create personalized routes, considering each passenger’s preferences, and enhancing comfort during journeys. In addition to the concepts, Mazda introduced a new version of the popular MAZDA CX-5 crossover specifically tailored for the European market at the event. The updated CX-5 features improved cabin ergonomics, stylish KODO design inspired by Japanese minimalist aesthetics and dynamism, and enhanced handling characteristics based on the Jinba-ittai concept (‘horse and rider as one’). Built on the upgraded MAZDA E/E ARCHITECTURE+ platform, the car delivers optimized performance and fuel efficiency in modern urban traffic conditions.
