By Associated Press ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Lando Norris clinched his first F1 title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday. The race was won by Max Verstappen, with Norris finishing third. This result allowed Norris to secure the championship, finishing two points ahead of Verstappen in the final standings. Oscar Piastri, Norris’ McLaren teammate, came in second in the race and finished third in the overall standings, 13 points behind Norris. Norris, 26, became the first British champion since Lewis Hamilton in 2020. With this victory, Norris denied Verstappen his fifth consecutive title.
