Georgian MMA fighter Merab Dvalishvili thanked his fans on social media after his defeat to Petr Yan. Dvalishvili lost to Russian fighter Petr Yan in the main event at UFC 323 in Las Vegas. After five rounds, the judges unanimously gave the victory to the Russian, who became the bantamweight champion. ‘Today wasn’t my day, but I will come back stronger than ever. Thank you to everyone who supported me,’ Dvalishvili wrote on social media X. The first fight between the two fighters took place in March 2023, with Dvalishvili winning by unanimous decision.
