Mitsubishi: The Fastest Aging Hybrids Revealed

German car club ADAC has published a study revealing that the batteries in plug-in hybrids age unevenly, depending on the manufacturer and driving style. In collaboration with Aviloo, experts analyzed over 28.5 thousand measurements of battery state of health (SoH) in vehicles from six brands. Mercedes-Benz models showed the best results with minimal battery capacity loss. Volkswagen and BMW hybrids experience normal degradation, with some exceptions. Ford hybrids initially lose capacity faster but the process slows down over time. Mitsubishi batteries were identified as the most problematic, showing wear early on.
