Modi-Trump Mobile Conversations on Russian Oil Buying Stalled: MEA

Indian authorities have dismissed the claims made by American ex-President Donald Trump, who stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had confirmed to him through a phone call about India ending oil purchases from Russia. The MEA spokesperson further added, ‘There is no phone call happening between the two leaders’. This clarification was provided to address the alleged conversations reported by Trump regarding stopping Russian oil imports. The statement was made during the press briefing held on Thursday. It clarifies the misinformation being spread about discussions taking place between the two leaders on this matter.
