Mostovoy on Spartak vs Dynamo match: Tukavin scored a clean goal

Former Spartak player Alexander Mostovoy believes that the referee made a mistake by not allowing Dynamo striker Konstantin Tukavin’s goal in the match against Spartak. On Saturday, Spartak played a draw against Dynamo with a score of 1-1 at home. The goal by Dynamo’s forward Konstantin Tukavin on the sixth minute was disallowed due to an offside, a decision later confirmed by VAR. In the end of the second half, Dynamo’s defender Nicolas Marichal’s goal was also cancelled due to an offside after VAR review.
As Mostovoy stated, ‘As expected, it ended in a draw. Although I thought Spartak would win by one goal, since they were playing at home. Especially after managing to play ‘Baltika’ with a man advantage. Dynamo is a good, decent team. But as I pointed out at the beginning of the season, they made mistakes. Everyone knows what mistakes. Mixing things up, why? Not everything went smoothly, a lot of points were missed. But even in the second half (against Spartak) they had the advantage and could have won. There were indeed some controversial moments. Especially in the first goal. In my opinion, Tukavin scored a clean goal. Our referees make the decisions, they’re the ‘deciders’. So we’ll see. It’s a shame that Spartak didn’t secure those points. But they will gather them, they will, ‘ Mostovoy said in a Telegram channel.
Spartak has accumulated 29 points and occupies sixth place in the Russian Premier League table, with Dynamo (21 points) in 10th place. The next RPL round will take place in 2026. Spartak will play away against Sochi, while Dynamo will host Krylia Sovetov from Samara. The exact schedule will be announced later.
