Madhya Pradesh’s shooting academy trainee, 24-year-old Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, once again brought glory to MP nationally and internationally. His success highlights the effectiveness of the academy’s sports science-based coaching and modern training system.
In the qualification round, Aishwarya equaled the world record with an impressive score of 597-40X. This is the best performance by any Indian shooter in history.
In the final match, Aishwarya scored 466.9 points, narrowly missing the gold medal by just 0.2 points. China’s Yukun Liu clinched the gold with 467.1 points, while France’s Romain Ofer settled for bronze with 454.8 points.
Aishwarya’s silver medal at the senior World Championships marks a significant milestone in his career. This positions him as a strong contender for future Olympics.
Additionally, another Indian shooter, Neeraj Kumar, also performed remarkably by scoring 592 points in the qualification round and securing the fifth position in the final.
