Natalia Poklonskaya explains why she changed her name and left Christianity

Advisor to the General Prosecutor of Russia, Natalia Poklonskaya, explained the reasons behind changing her name to Radveda. The reasons were revealed in an interview for RTVI on November 29. Poklonskaya mentioned that she did indeed change her name but had no plans to disclose it to the public. Radveda, now the name used for official documents, was taken from legends and myths. She explained, ‘If you translate from some traditional and ancient legends, myths, there are many versions. I read a lot about this name. Initially, I read that it means ‘morning dawn,’ ‘star,’ something beautiful.’ However, people still refer to Poklonskaya by her old name Natalia.
