New Chapter Launch Plan-Debate on Hero Title Discussed at Unair

Surabaya – The launch of the rewriting of Indonesia’s history is said to be imminent, drawing attention from various parties. Member of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Bonnie Triyana, mentioned that the public scrutiny of the rewriting of history should be done carefully and non-discriminatory. ‘Yes, they said it’s going to be launched in December, right? Let’s just wait and see. We will reject it if the work stigmatizes the victims of the New Order regime,’ Bonnie said after a discussion on heroism at Airlangga University on Thursday (11/20/2025). She also stated her rejection if the upcoming rewriting of history is not inclusive. ‘So far, we still reject it. And if it’s going to be launched in December, let’s examine it together,’ she said.
