The Indonesian team has officially unveiled their latest jersey collection for use at the SEA Games in Thailand 2025. The launch took place in a special ceremony at Terminal 1C of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, featuring a collaboration of Indonesia’s top artists on Monday, December 1, 2025. Produced by the national pride apparel manufacturer, Mills, the jersey designs were a result of a collaboration between Sarinah designers and a curation by the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation.
The visual identity highlights the cultural richness and natural beauty of the Indonesian archipelago, drawing inspiration from the intricate carvings of Toraja craft as symbols of the nation’s enduring heritage that shaped Indonesia’s identity today. ‘This jersey is inspired by our authentic traditions blending with the natural beauty of Indonesia,’ said Didit Hediprasetyo.
In addition to the red and white primary colors, the collection introduces a palette of earthy green representing the tropical fertility from Sabang to Merauke. The artistic impression is further enhanced by the dynamic brush strokes in red and white by Yogyakarta artist Iabadiou Piko, depicting a relentless fighting spirit.
Raja Sapta Oktohari, the Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia), praised the collaboration as a commitment from all elements of the nation to support Indonesia’s sporting achievements, especially at SEA Games Thailand 2025. ‘We thank all individuals, communities, artists, and cultural supporters for this collaboration. It is an extraordinary creativity being done for the first time,’ said Okto.
As a gesture of solidarity, Okto announced that NOC Indonesia, the Indonesian team, Sarinah, Mills, and the Didit Hediprasetyo Foundation would donate a portion of the jersey sales proceeds to the victims affected by the flood disasters in Sumatra. ‘We are all committed because we are carrying out this activity amidst the sorrows in Indonesia and Thailand. Therefore, a percentage of the sales proceeds will be contributed to social assistance,’ he added.
Mills CEO, Tjia Kong Hau, explained that this collection was designed with the latest material technology, using three different categories of materials tailored to the needs of various sports branches, emphasizing agility, lightweight, and durability. ‘This design is the result of an extraordinary collaboration. It combines traditional and modern Indonesian elements. In production, we also utilize modern sports technology in material that is customized to each sport branch. We have categorized them into outdoor, indoor, and a special lightweight material for athletics,’ Ahau said.
