New rules for mobile phones and internet: understand changes in plans and suspension for non-payment

Starting Monday, consumers of pay TV, internet, and mobile or landline telephony have new protection rules with the update of the General Regulation of Consumer Rights for Telecommunications Services (RGC) by Anatel. One of the changes is in how price adjustments can be applied. Now, increases can only occur after 12 months of contract and can be made on the customer’s contract date or on a date defined by the operator, allowing all contracts to be adjusted simultaneously.
