NEXT Indonesia: Misinvoicing as Additional Source of Revenue for APBN Without Increasing Taxes

TRIBUNNEWS.COM — A recent study by the NEXT Indonesia Center has uncovered a significant gap in Indonesia’s trade balance: misinvoicing, or the discrepancies in export-import values between countries, which have been causing potential revenue losses for the country in the past two decades. The Executive Director of NEXT Indonesia Center, Christiantoko, highlighted the government’s move to address misinvoicing as a means to fortify the economy without raising taxes. By curbing misinvoicing, the government aims to increase revenue for the State Budget (APBN) and ensure that the country receives its rightful financial resources.
