NGO Runs, Lack of Government Experience ; Unison’s Criticism towards BNP

Dhaka, November 11: Starting from the government’s management to the organization of elections, Mohammad Unison fiercely attacked Khaleda Zia’s BNP. They believe that conducting a peaceful election in Bangladesh is impossible without an active role of the armed forces. When BNP makes this statement, it’s only a few days after nearly 60,000 soldiers were withdrawn from Dhaka. Since Sheikh Hasina left the country in 2024, the capital had been under strict military control for the past eighteen months. Although they have stated that they will provide necessary assistance for election organization, BNP’s Vice Chairman Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Mir criticized him, as Unison led an NGO before without any prior government experience. On the other hand, criticizing the explosion in front of Delhi’s Lal Kella, Hasina sharply focused on Unison’s weaknesses.
