Vadim Vinogradov, professor and dean of the legal faculty at HSE University, told the ‘Prime’ agency that in November some groups of pensioners will receive recalculated payments. However, this does not apply to all pensioners – the changes will only affect those who have an increased length of service or faced difficult working conditions. Vinogradov emphasized that these double payments will be made automatically, and pensioners do not need to take any additional steps to receive them.
The professor explained that the reason behind these additional payments is due to the fact that the pensions of these specific groups were initially calculated based on the old formula, without taking into account the recent changes in legislation. As a result, these pensioners were receiving lower payments than they should have been entitled to.
Vinogradov highlighted that this adjustment process is an important step in ensuring that pensioners receive fair and adequate payments based on their actual work history and contributions to the social security system. He also mentioned that the recalculated payments will only apply to November and will not have a permanent effect on the pension amounts beyond this month.
Overall, this initiative aims to rectify past miscalculations and provide pensioners with the correct amount they are entitled to based on their years of service and working conditions. The double payments in November will serve as a one-time correction to address the discrepancies in the pension calculations for these specific groups of retirees.
