Now Aadhaar Copy Not Required for Hotel Check-Ins, Big Change by UIDAI

UIDAI will soon launch a new Aadhaar app that will simplify digital identification and ID verification. According to UIDAI CEO Bhushan Kumar, the new app has been specially designed for offline verification, providing consumers with a secure and trustworthy digital identification. He stated that this system will strengthen security and privacy for both individuals and organizations. The most important feature of the new app is offline verification, eliminating the need to provide a physical copy of the Aadhaar card for hotel check-ins or any social entry or event/work participation within a community. UIDAI believes that sharing photocopies increases the risk of data misuse and fraud, and the new app allows users to share Aadhaar data digitally, reducing this risk.
