Old Vehicle Owners in Delhi to Get Big Relief! End of NOC Time Limit

In Delhi, the government has removed the time limit for applying for NOC (No Objection Certificate) for owners of vehicles that are 10 years or older for diesel cars and 15 years or older for petrol cars. After this major change, vehicle owners can now apply for NOC at any time. Previously, under the ‘Guidelines of Handling and End of Life Vehicles in Public Places of Delhi, 2024’, owners were required to apply for NOC within a year of de-registering their vehicles. If they couldn’t do so, they had the option to transfer the vehicle to another state or scrap it. This led to thousands of old vehicles accumulating in Delhi, worsening the traffic and pollution issues.
