The jury trial in Chicago marks the beginning of the litigation concerning the Boeing 737 Max crash in Ethiopia from more than six years ago. The trial addresses the compensation Boeing must pay to the families of the victims of the tragic incident. The court case opened before a federal jury in Chicago, where Boeing was previously headquartered, aiming to determine financial compensations for two families affected by the crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 in March 2019. However, just before the trial began, one of the cases was settled privately out of court.
