Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi made a major statement on Monday, emphasizing the significance of Operation Sindoor. He stated that ‘Operation Sindoor was just a trailer, the entire picture has not even started yet. Many changes have occurred in the past year, and there have been significant improvements in relationships due to dialogue between political leaders.’ He acknowledged that the benefits will be seen when a normal situation arises. General Dwivedi attended the Defense Dialogue program at Manekshaw Centre in Delhi on Monday, where he openly discussed various issues. He stated, ‘India is prepared for a prolonged battle in any situation, and the army is capable of giving a strong response to any threat, whether from Pakistan or its supported terrorists.’ General Dwivedi referred to Operation Sindoor and Pakistan, warning, ‘Sindoor 2 is a new warning. Water and blood don’t flow together. If you blackmail us, we will not sit quietly. The movie has not even started yet, and we can make Pakistan understand in just 88 hours.’ General Dwivedi further stated, ‘This will become a big challenge for Pakistan. We are saying that you adopt the process of peaceful negotiation. If you demand to blackmail us, India will not fear any blackmail. Operation Sindoor was just a trailer, which was completed in 88 hours. Action will be taken at every level in due time. Integration will be fast, and we will be able to give a response quickly.’ General Dwivedi also addressed the situation regarding the Red Fort car blast, stating that ‘deterrence is working. If any threatening letter comes from the terrorists, the army will investigate where it is coming from.’ When it comes to relations with China, General Dwivedi expressed hope that after the de-escalation in eastern Ladakh, both countries are moving towards normalcy. He said, ‘Political dialogue has led to rapid improvements on the ground. When diplomacy and politics come together, defense diplomacy becomes smart power.’
