Oscar 2026 | Wagner Moura’s Photo at Event Surpasses Hollywood Stars

The official Instagram profile of the Academy posted a picture of the actors attending the Governors Awards on Monday (17), including Wagner Moura, who outperformed other artists in terms of engagement. The actor’s photo, favored to compete with The Secret Agent, already has 278 thousand likes, much more than other big names in the industry like Anya Taylor-Joy, Michael B. Jordan, Stellan Skarsgård, and others. It’s worth remembering that it was at this same event that Fernanda Torres’ photo went viral and currently has almost 3 million likes. Set in Recife in 1977, the film follows Marcelo (Wagner Moura), a technology expert who returns to Recife after years away in search of peace, only to discover that his hometown hides dangers and unsettling secrets.
