Owner of a winning lottery ticket of R$ 99 million says: ‘Let people feel that winning is not impossible’

According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the big winner – and new millionaire – of the last Mega-Sena contest, number 2940, is a resident of Porto Alegre. The person, who will take home the prize of over R$ 99 million, placed their bet at Lotérica Tabacaria 33, located in the Historic Center. ‘Let people feel that winning is not impossible, that it is possible for them too. It is difficult indeed, but only those who bet have a chance,’ says the owner of the lottery, Guilherme Vargas. ‘I am very happy about the prize, it is the realization of a dream amid many that we have heard over the years,’ he adds. He mentioned that the establishment has had other prizes, such as R$ 1.7 million in Loteca, R$ 2.4 million in Lotomania, R$ 7 million in Mega Sena, and two prizes of R$ 500 thousand in Loteria Federal. ‘But this one was definitely the most significant,’ he states.
