Ozempic Trend: 1 in 10 Americans Have Tried Weight Loss Drugs – Here’s Why 74% Still Say ‘Not for Me’

A recent survey conducted by RAND revealed that 12% of Americans have experimented with GLP-1 drugs such as Ozempic as a measure for weight loss. The study found that the highest usage was observed among women aged between 50 and 64. While there is interest from 14% of the population, the vast majority, 74%, are still hesitant about trying the drugs due to the reported side effects like nausea, diarrhea, and appetite changes. Despite the efficacy of these medications for weight loss, concerns about adverse reactions are major deterrents for most individuals.
