Ozon and Wildberries comply with FAS recommendations on rules for sellers

Moscow, November 5. INTERFAX.RU – Marketplaces Ozon and Wildberries (WB) have complied with the recommendations of an expert council at the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) by reviewing rules for sellers introduced in August-September 2025, the regulator reported. Until now, as of November 1, WB has canceled the use of the remaining stock index, under which entrepreneurs with a low index either had to pay higher storage fees on the platform infrastructure or had discounts applied to their products without proper coordination – or they were forced to remove it from the marketplace’s warehouses. Changes were also made to the terms of the ‘Tariff Builder’ option, which determined the order in which additional services were provided, which sellers previously could not refuse within the timeframe set by the marketplace. Ozon, in turn, adjusted the rules for processing returns of canceled or returned orders without complaints about quality – previously, they were automatically sent to the marketplace’s warehouses for resale. ‘As a result, entrepreneurs were deprived of the opportunity to freely dispose of their products. They could not sell it through other sales channels. In addition, sellers faced difficulties in removing their assortment from Ozon’s warehouses,’ noted FAS. Additionally, the platform took actions to eliminate the blocking of users’ accounts without explanation.
