Palmeiras favorite: see updated chances of winning the Brasileirão title

The 32nd round of the Brazilian Championship was concluded this Thursday (6), and the battle for the title remains heated. Palmeiras, Flamengo, and Cruzeiro continue to be the main contenders for the trophy. With a 2-0 victory over Santos, Verdão opened up a lead in the standings and saw their chances of being champions rise from 56.4% to 74.8%, according to data from the mathematics department at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Flamengo suffered a significant drop after a 2-2 draw against São Paulo at Vila Belmiro. Previously at 41%, the title probability for the team coached by Filipe Luís is now at 21.7%. Meanwhile, Cruzeiro increased from 2.3% to 3.4%. This rise came after Raposa’s 1-0 victory over Grêmio in Porto Alegre.
