Personal Trainer Accused of Fraud and Violence Against Ex-Girlfriends

The Civil Police of Nova Lima are investigating a personal trainer, V.A.A., suspected of various crimes including fraud, patrimonial violence, and psychological abuse, primarily against ex-girlfriends, the complainants in the cases. The trainer is viewed as a courteous, charming, experienced professional with affluent clientele, serving clients in Nova Lima and Belo Horizonte. The allegations suggest that he sells customized training packages, charging an annual fee, and also manipulates situations to make repeated credit card charges to the clients.

A bar in BH is fined by Procon for imposing a minimum consumption fee. A law firm in BH represents over 10 alleged victims, with losses exceeding R$200,000. A clandestine weight loss supplement factory is shut down, leading to two arrests. According to investigators, ex-partners of the personal trainer accuse him of stealing personal data and opening bank accounts without authorization, using them to unlawfully collect monthly fees.

The trainer released a statement on social media denying the accusations. He stated that he has not been summoned to testify yet, nor has he had access to the details of the investigation. ‘I would like to inform, initially, that I have not yet been summoned to provide my clarification at the police station, nor have I had access to the investigation materials.’
