Peskov: Putin will be happy to meet with Trump in Moscow

The invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to his American counterpart Donald Trump remains valid, according to Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, as reported by TASS.
The Kremlin representative was asked if the invitation for Trump to come to Russia for the World War II victory celebrations still stands. Peskov replied, “The invitation for President Trump is still there. The possibility of a visit depends on the American president’s decision.”
Peskov emphasized that if Trump decides to visit Moscow, President Putin will be happy to meet with him. He added, “It was President Putin who initiated the invitation”.
