Chandigarh: The PGI celebrated World Diabetes Day by hosting a health education program focused on the ‘silent killer’. The main goal of this initiative was to educate and empower healthcare professionals, enhancing their knowledge of essential self-care practices needed to manage the increasing cases of diabetes. Led by Prof Sanjay Kumar Bhadada and Dr Navneet Dhaliwal, the program featured presentations by leading endocrinologists and medical experts who covered critical aspects of diabetes management. Prof Bhadada kicked off the event with a talk on ‘Understanding Diabetes: Myths vs Facts’, where he dispelled common misconceptions and provided insights on risk factors and early symptoms identification.
