Philippine cities deserted due to super typhoon

Nearly a million people have been evacuated in the Philippines due to the raging super typhoon ‘Fung-Wong’, according to reports from The Guardian citing local media. Sources indicate that around 900,000 individuals from the eastern and northern regions of the country were massively evacuated. The super typhoon is expected to bring heavy rainfall, destructive winds, and storms to populated areas. In total, the phenomenon will bring over 200 millimeters of precipitation, leading to massive floods.
