Oscar Piastri ‘turned the tables’ on his teammate Lando Norris and secured pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix in Formula 1, clocking the fastest time of 1min8s662 with a gap of 12 thousandths of a second. Verstappen took third place, while Gabriel Bortoleto starts from 13th. McLaren had a strong showing throughout the practice sessions but faced a twist at the top during the qualifying session. Norris had ‘won’ all three free practice sessions against the Australian but ended up in second place in the final session. The Brazilian driver came close to making it to Q3 for the third consecutive time but had to settle for a stop earlier than expected. In Belgium and Hungary, Bortoleto qualified 10th and 7th, respectively. He finished qualifying in the same position as the last free practice session.
