Pity, Most Whale Sharks in Indonesia Are Injured Due to Human Activities

Whale sharks, the largest living fish species, are classified as endangered species on the IUCN Red List. Over the past 75 years, their population has decreased by more than 50% worldwide and up to 63% in specific regions like Indonesia. A group of researchers recently revealed that a significant number of whale sharks in Indonesian waters are suffering from injuries caused by human activities. From water pollution to boat collisions, these magnificent marine creatures are facing a multitude of threats in their natural habitat.
