Platforms to Consider Sharing Partner Data with Russian Tax Authorities

Digital platforms are considering the possibility of providing tax authorities with data on the income of taxpayers using the Simplified Taxation System (STS) ‘in case of a significant number of interested partners.’ This follows from the memorandum signed by Avito, Wildberries, and Ozon regarding the fair practices of digital platforms. The document emphasizes that this concerns ‘specific participants of the memorandum,’ without specifying which ones. Along with sharing data under STS, they agreed to develop and submit to the Ministry of Economic Development a joint action plan for ‘improving state information systems and integrating them with digital platforms,’ as stated in the document.
