Portuguese coach Luis Estrela to continue coaching Indonesia’s national team

Portuguese coach Luis Estrela will remain in charge of Indonesia’s national women’s futsal team until 2028, as announced by the country’s Federation on Monday. The long-term agreement ensures that the 46-year-old Portuguese coach will continue in the position he has held since last year, after four years coaching at Benfica’s futsal academy. In addition to leading the women’s futsal team, Luis Estrela will also serve as the Technical Coordinator for the youth teams (2026 will mark the start of activity for the under-16 and under-19 women’s national teams).
