Prabowo Aims to Enhance Indonesia-New Zealand Trade Relations

President Prabowo Subianto held a bilateral meeting with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon at the Agenas Room, Lahan Select Gyeongju Hotel, on Friday, October 31, 2025. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2025 summit held in Gyeongju, South Korea. The leaders discussed efforts to strengthen the comprehensive partnership established between Indonesia and New Zealand since 2018. President Prabowo emphasized the commitment of both countries to enhance cooperation within the existing comprehensive partnership framework. ‘Our bilateral trade has consistently increased over the past five years, nearly 10% annually, but I believe we can strive for even better results. In various sectors, we have collaborated well, and I hope this cooperation can be further enhanced,’ said Prabowo.
