President of OAB-RR, Ednaldo Vidal, along with federal councilors Dra. Cristiane Rodrigues de Sá and Dra. Betânia Almeida, participated on Friday, 24, and Saturday, 25/10, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the 10th BRICS Legal Forum. The event brought together representatives from the three branches of government, academia, and legal institutions of the countries that make up the bloc — Brazil, South Africa, China, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, India, Iran, and Russia — to discuss sustainability, international governance, and legal integration under the theme ‘Strengthening Global South Cooperation for More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance.’ ‘We are close to the realization of COP30 in Belém, and this Forum is an essential space to discuss the global challenges that will be topics of the Conference. In this context, Law asserts itself as an instrument of cooperation between nations to jointly find sustainability mechanisms that combine nature preservation and improved quality of life for the global population,’ said President Ednaldo Vidal.
