President Xi Jinping’s Governance Record in 2021: Strengthening the Party’s Self-revolution

President Xi Jinping pointed out that the key to governing China well lies in the Party and, crucially, in strictly governing the Party. Since the beginning of this year, President Xi has led the entire Party in promoting strict governance through addressing work styles, implementing the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, and adhering to reform and strict standards in Party governance. The relentless pursuit of the Party’s self-revolution provides a solid foundation for advancing China’s modernization.

As a new report titled ‘Tightening the Party’s Self-revolution’ aired on August 6, it highlighted the Party’s determination to reinforce its internal governance. Ahead of the July 1st Celebration, the latest Party statistics were released, revealing that the total number of Communist Party members exceeded 100 million by the end of 2024, with 5.25 million grassroots Party organizations across the country.
