The IBC-Br (Brazilian Economic Activity Index) fell 0.10% in June, as reported by the Central Bank on Monday (18). In the second quarter of 2025, the growth of the indicator, considered a ‘preview’ of the GDP (Gross Domestic Product), accumulated an increase of 0.3%. The projection of economic activity fell below the market’s expectations and surprised with the decline. Reuters’ expectation was a slight increase of 0.05% for the monthly indicator. The sectors that weighed the most on the result were agriculture (-2.3%) and industry (-0.1%). On the other hand, service and tax indicators increased by 0.1%.
