Punjab Government Makes Major Changes in Police Department, Transfers 61 DSPs

The Punjab Police Department has undergone a major reshuffle with the administration transferring 61 DSPs. A notification has been issued detailing the names of the officials, their positions, and their previous postings. The list includes shifts in Chandigarh Police as well as transfers of IPS officials and DSPs in the state. The changes also involve the transfer of 26 IPS officials and 175 Police Inspectors in the region. These changes come in the wake of a significant action taken by the Enforcement Directorate against the son of a former CM, seizing assets worth 61 crore rupees. The Punjab government has also taken significant steps to fulfill the special needs of individuals.
