Punjab Red Alert: Major Breakthrough as 2 Accused with Weapons Linked to Pakistan Captured

The recent major explosions in Delhi have put the whole of Punjab on red alert, with the Firozpur police capturing 2 individuals involved in contact with a Pakistan-based trafficking operation. The duo, identified as Gurpreet Singh alias Gori and Vikramjeet Singh alias Vikki, were found in possession of 9 mm Glock pistols, 4 magazines, and 4 live cartridges.

During interrogation, Vikramjeet Singh admitted to his direct contact with the trafficker Sikandar, who provided him with illegal weapons. The police also seized 2 Glock pistols based on his disclosure. He admitted to supplying arms to local contacts based on directions from his Pakistani handlers.

The arrest has drawn attention to an old case involving the recovery of an AK-47 rifle through the same network. Technical analysis of seized digital devices is ongoing to track the entire supply network, including foreign handlers and local associates. DGP Gaurav Yadav has pledged to eliminate arms trafficking networks across the border to ensure Punjab’s security.
