President Putin signed a decree on December 1 allowing temporary visa-free entry for Chinese citizens into Russia. The decree, titled ‘On the Temporary Procedure for Entry into the Russian Federation and Exit from the Russian Federation for Citizens of the People’s Republic of China,’ is now available on the official publication of legal acts website. Until September 14, 2026, Chinese citizens can enter Russia without a visa for tourism and business purposes, staying up to 30 days for activities such as tourism, scientific, cultural, political, economic, and sports events, as well as transit through Russian territory, with a regular passport from the People’s Republic of China.
