Putin appoints Bulyga as Deputy Secretary of Security Council of Russia, Sanchik as Deputy Minister of Defense

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has appointed former Deputy Minister of Defense, Andrey Bulyga, as the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree was published on the official legal information portal. At the same time, Bulyga was relieved of his duties in the Ministry of Defense. His position was filled by Lieutenant General Alexander Sanchik, who was appointed the new Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia. He previously held the position of commanding the troops of the Southern Military District. Bulyga was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense for material and technical support in March 2024. Before that, he held the position of Deputy Commander of the troops of the Western Military District for material and technical support. It was reported that in his new position, he supervised the rear of the Russian army, replacing Alexey Kuzmenkov.
