Rahul Gandhi accuses BJP and Election Commission of unjustly imposing SIR, calls it injustice

Congress has raised concerns about the involvement of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the SIR job of voter lists in different states. Rahul Gandhi, the opposition leader in Lok Sabha, wrote on X that the chaos created across the country in the name of SIR’s list is alarming. Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on BJP, saying, ‘Imposing the SIR process is an intentional effort to create chaos and bewilder people. Disregarding the pressure, deaths of BLOs are being ignored as ‘collateral damage’. 16 BLOs have lost their lives in three weeks due to heart attacks, stress, and suicides – SIR is not a reform, it is an injustice.’
