Rakornas 2025: BPS Highlights Strategic Role of BAZNAS in Lowering Poverty Rates in Indonesia

POVERTY REDUCTION – Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, highlighted the strategic role of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in lowering poverty rates in Indonesia. This was conveyed directly during the National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) of BAZNAS on the second day, Wednesday (27/08/2025). She mentioned that BAZNAS has been actively contributing to poverty alleviation efforts country-wide, making a significant impact on improving the wellbeing of the less fortunate. The acknowledgment of BAZNAS’ strategic role in poverty reduction reflects the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies and non-profit organizations to address socio-economic challenges effectively.
