Refugees in Ethiopia at Risk of Losing Food Aid: UN Agency

Ethiopia, Africa’s second most populous country, hosts a significant number of refugees from neighboring Sudan and South Sudan, as well as internally displaced residents escaping internal conflicts. The UN agency warned on Friday that the situation is dire, with the food aid program at risk of being halted. This comes as a result of reductions in international assistance to Ethiopia. The repercussions of such a suspension could be devastating for the vulnerable refugee population in the country.
