Reliability for a reasonable price: experts select cars in Russia with the best brakes in the economy class

Auto.ru experts compared the braking distance of 8 popular models in Russia priced up to 2.5 million rubles. The top 3 included the sedan Omoda S5, crossovers Moskvich 3 and JAC JS3, with the worst result demonstrated by Vesta SW Cross. The test also involved Lada Iskra, Solaris KRX, Geely Emgrand, and Livan X3 Pro. Brake tests were conducted on dry asphalt using Racebox equipment for precise measurement. Each car underwent a series of four consecutive braking from 100 km/h to a complete stop, with the average value calculated to obtain the final result. In addition to measuring the braking distance, experts evaluated the vehicle’s stability during braking and the brakes’ resistance to overheating.
