Researchers discover hidden entrance in Menkaure pyramid

Scientists have revealed a groundbreaking discovery related to the Pyramid of Menkaure in Giza, Egypt. By using advanced scanning technology, researchers found two air-filled anomalies hidden within the structure, hinting at a secret entrance that has eluded detection for millennia. Constructed around 2510 BC, the pyramid stands nearly 200 feet tall and was believed to house the tomb of Pharaoh Menkaure. The recent findings suggest that there may be an additional entrance on the eastern side of the pyramid, separate from the main northern entrance. According to Christian Grosse, from the Technical University of Munich, this discovery represents a significant step in understanding the pyramid’s interior and confirms the possibility of another entrance. The researchers note that the suspected hidden entrance could lead to a rectangular chamber on the eastern side of the pyramid, near the River Nile. Smooth granite blocks found near this area indicate that the entrance might have been carefully sealed and concealed thousands of years ago.
