On September 13, amidst the green pine and cypress trees, the martyrs’ cemetery in Shenyang, dedicated to the anti-American and aid-to-Korea martyrs, was solemn and dignified as the burial ceremony of the twelfth batch of martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteers in Korea took place there. Under the deep affection of the Chinese people, the remains of 30 volunteers were welcomed back to their homeland, laid to rest in the land they had protected with their lives.
How long does it take to come home? For the martyrs, this wait has lasted for more than 70 years.
