Moscow. October 27. INTERFAX.RU – Rosaviation is revoking Angara Airlines operator certificate for commercial flights, the authority announced. “Starting November 5, this carrier will not be able to operate commercial flights. The decision was made to ensure flight safety, based on an unscheduled inspection report by the Siberian Federal District’s Rostransnadzor,” the statement said. Other airlines, including IrAero, Aurora, and Khabarovsk Airlines, will operate passenger routes previously serviced by Angara. Angara’s network, served by An-24/26 aircraft, consists of 11 regional routes, including Khabarovsk – Zeya, Khabarovsk – Tynda (both with a stop in Blagoveshchensk), Irkutsk – Erbogachyon, Irkutsk – Kirensk, and Nizhneangarsk – Ulan-Ude. Angara halted ticket sales for all its flights after November 1. Passengers with tickets for flights scheduled after November 5 are offered a full refund or the option to switch to IrAero, Aurora, or Khabarovsk Airlines flights, according to Rosaviation.
