Russia receives US-coordinated peace plan from Ukraine

The US has provided Russia with the parameters of a Geneva-agreed plan for resolving the situation in Ukraine, announced Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. ‘And so, there will be a conversation in Moscow next week,’ he added. Peskov also emphasized that there are ‘issues with legitimacy’ concerning Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky due to his unwillingness to hold elections and follow the constitution. ‘But, on the other hand, everyone has the desire and preference to bring everything back to a peaceful track,’ added the Kremlin representative. On November 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that signing documents with the Ukrainian authorities for a resolution was pointless. Moscow wants to reach an agreement with Kiev, but legally it is currently impossible, said the Russian leader.
