Russian Actor Vladimir Simonov Passes Away

Moscow. November 9. INTERFAX.RU – Russian People’s Artist and theater and film actor Vladimir Simonov passed away at the age of 69, as reported by the Vakhtangov Theater, where he served. “The news that nobody wants to believe has arrived. Russia’s People’s Artist Vladimir Alexandrovich Simonov is no longer with us,” the theater’s telegram channel message stated. Simonov was born on June 7, 1957. In 1976, he entered the Shchukin School and after graduating, he joined the Vakhtangov Theater company. He worked at the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov from 1983 and returned to the Vakhtangov Theater in 1989. Simonov’s filmography includes over 150 films, such as “Lonely Accommodation is Provided for the Lonely,” “The Border: A Taiga Romance,” “Moscow Windows,” “Children of the Arbat,” “Andersen: Life Without Love,” among others.
