Russian Actress Ksenia Kachalina Passed Away on December 2, 2025

Soviet and Russian actress Ksenia Kachalina passed away at the age of 55. On December 2, actor and director Alexey Agranovich confirmed the news to TASS. ‘Ksenia Kachalina has passed away. She is no longer with us,’ wrote Agranovich in his personal blog, describing the actress as a ‘mystery and punk’ and noting that she ‘could not adapt.’ The cause of death was not disclosed. Ksenia Kachalina, born Oksana on May 3, 1971, in Saratov, made her debut in Valery Rubinchik’s film ‘Dislike’ in 1991, for which she received an award at the Kinotavr film festival. She also appeared in films such as Dmitry Meskhiyev’s ‘Over Dark Water’ (won the Golden Prize at the Taormina Film Festival), Sergey Solovyov’s ‘Three Sisters,’ Abay Karpykov’s ‘Tender is the Night,’ Vladimir Bortko’s ‘The Circus Burned Down and the Clowns Ran Away,’ Gleb Panfilov’s ‘The Romanovs: A Crowned Family,’ among others. In her filmography, Kachalina had a total of 19 works, with her last one released in 2007.
