Russian Blogger Goblin Urges Russians Not to Travel to Turkey and Egypt

Russian blogger and translator Dmitry Puchkov, known as Goblin, urged fellow citizens not to travel to Turkey and Egypt. The recording of his thoughts on the matter is available on the social network VKontakte. Goblin pointed out that Turkey is a member of NATO and therefore believes that sending money there is not advisable. He stated, ‘Don’t go to a NATO country where in the 90s they were training and treating Chechen separatists en masse. You shouldn’t go there. Just don’t, that’s all,’ addressing his fellow Russians. He also called for avoiding vacations in Egypt as it is home to a large base for training Islamic terrorists. According to Puchkov, Russians should spend their holidays in friendly countries like Vietnam or North Korea.
